Select the best format for your name label. Singles (formerly known as cut-to-size) are recommended for labels that individuals will peel and stick by hand. Display and hand them out at events. Order for small quantities of items that need to be labeled such as school and household items. Roll labels are ideal for large quantities that go above 250 pieces. Perfect for hundreds of giveaways, promotional items, or freebies that will be labeled with each customer’s name.
Choose a shape that suits the occasion. Aiming to appear professional at a conference or need a label that will fit all your details? The rectangle has a space wide enough for longer names, an address, and contact details. The square has a modern, minimalist look that can fit a “Hi, I’m (insert name here)” message.
Under the singles label, there are more creative shapes kids will like such as hexagon, heart, starburst, and arch.
Those with a specific size and shape in mind can select “Custom Size” in the roll label options. You can combine over 10 widths and heights according to your design.
Print in a material that will complement the design. The white BOPP gives a shiny, vibrant high-gloss finish that lets your name stand out. Perfect for a list of names that will be printed for labeling or display at an event.
If name labels will be written on by attendees, the white paper in matte or gloss absorbs the ink of a permanent ink marker or ball point pen. Visit the “Material and Specs” tab for more information on the sticker options available.

How to Design and Print Your Custom Name Labels
Make your name easy to read up close or from a distance. Follow these easy steps to get started.
- Use our online design tool. After inputting your name label’s specs, select “Create Your Design Online” at the bottom of the calculator. You’ll be taken to a blank canvas where you can add images, edit text, and combine colors.
- Upload your print–ready file. Select “Upload Your File and Order Now.” Your file should follow these guidelines to qualify for printing:
- File is in CMYK color mode.
- Save as any of the recommended formats: JPG, TIF, EPS, AI, PUB, and PNG.
- Ensure your design stays within the bleed, safe zone, and trimline.
- Download any of the print templates available. Head over to the “Templates” tab and download any of the available formats. All files include the proper bleeds and margins to ensure an accurate print job.

When should I order cut-to-size or roll labels?
Cut-to-size labels printed and delivered in individual pieces. Recommended for quantities below 250 labels.
Roll labels are orders in hundreds of pieces, usually above 250. Ideal for fast and easy application on several items using a label gun. These are also made of durable and long-lasting material such as polypropylene (BOPP) or white textured estate #8. Each roll has a 3” diameter core that fits most dispensers.
What kind of adhesive is found on roll labels?
Roll name labels contain a general purpose permanent acrylic adhesive. It sticks to most plastic, paper, and corrugated substrates. This adhesive cannot be removed unless destroyed. Removal will also leave residue on the surface it was applied to.
What is the fastest production time for my order?
Cut-to-size name labels take one (1) business day to print.
The production time for roll labels depend on your selected material. These take longer to print due to the larger quantity ordered. White premium sticker paper and white BOPP (indoor) labels take at least two (2) business days to produce. Clear, silver metallic, and rainbow holographic BOPP take six (6) business days. The printing time on the online calculator is updated for each material selection.
